COSP Research Design

A rigorous experimental research design calls for randomization of study participants at all study sites to either a control group (traditional mental health services only) or an experimental group (traditional mental health services plus COSP). Sites collect information from participants through face-to-face interviews using a common protocol. The data is then transmitted to a data repository at the Coordinating Center for subsequent analysis. Interviews are conducted at base-line, 4 months, 8 months, and 12 months.
