COSP Project Organization

Extensive input into decision-making is provided by a Steering Committee, which consists of a consumer representative and the principal investigator from each study site, the principal investigator of the Coordinating Center, and a federal representative.

To ensure consumer participation in all aspects of the local and multi-site studies, each study site has a local Consumer Advisory Panel in addition to a representative on the national Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP). Recognizing that there has been a historical mistrust of research in some communities, the Cultural Competency & Diversity Task Force helps to ensure that the research is conducted in a manner that respects the culture of each participant.
