Because not all COSP members have the same
type of
software, the Coordinating Center is faced frequently with trying to quickly
convert documents into at least two formats prior to electronic distribution.
The Coordinating Center develops documents
in Adobe Acrobat. This will eliminate the need to provide documents in
several formats. Study sites can download the Adobe Acrobat Reader for
free that allow you to view and print Portable Document Format (PDF) files on
all major computer platforms. PDF is a file format that will allow the
sites to print a file exactly as the author designed it, without needing to have
the same application or fonts used to create the file. It allows for
electronic distribution that faithfully preserves the look and feel of the
original document complete with fonts, colors, images, and layout.
