Coordinating Center The Principal Investigator of the Coordinating Center is Jean Campbell, PH.D., a mental health consumer researcher, and Director of Program in Consumer Studies & Training at the Missouri Institute of Mental Health, University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. Responsibilities of Coordinating Center include: (1) planning the multi-site study in collaboration with the Steering Committee and providing overall study coordination, including data management and analysis; (2) designing, implementing, and coordinating the cost-study; (3) monitoring of data quality; (4) monitoring fidelity of interventions at project sites; (5) developing and maintaining a common data repository which contains data elements collected in the common protocol; (6) addressing the cultural issues in the study; and (7) providing technical assistance to the study sites. Data analysis is conducted by R.O.W. Sciences, Inc. in Rockville, Maryland, as well as by a task force of behavioral scientists and economists. Matthew Johnsen, Ph.D., Co-Principal Investigator of the Coordinating Center, is a sociologist on the faculty at the UMass Medical School's Center for Mental Health Services Research.
